Waimahana is the road, the journey, and the place that binds our people through whakapapa and connection to whenua.

It carries our whānau to and from home, links us to land and water, and provides essential access for work, school, and emergency services. Used every day, in all seasons, the condition of Waimahana Road directly affects the safety, wellbeing, and resilience of our community.

The Te Ara o Waimahana collection represents connection, responsibility, and collective care for this shared pathway.

The kaupapa

This collection supports the work of the Waimahana Roading Committee, a volunteer, community-led rōpū working to support and progress roading projects along Waimahana Road.  

Our role is to keep momentum moving - working with contractors, council and whānau to ensure the needs of our community are seen, heard, and acted on. From safety improvements to long-term planning, this work requires persistence, coordination, and ongoing resourcing.

Where the funds go

Funds raised through this collab help to:

• Support advocacy and engagement with contractors, and project partners
• Contribute to roading-related projects and initiatives on Waimahana Road
• Cover essential coordination, communication, and administrative costs

All proceeds are reinvested into kaupapa that support safer, more reliable access along Waimahana Road.
